Will he ever

Will Self was back in the Guardian review at the weekend, doing his usual: statin’ the bleedin’ obvious:

“What Celine’s Journey to the End of the Night and Death on Credit did for me – albeit through Ralph Manheim’s translations – was to free up my sense of how prose could combine thought and speech into a sort of “prose libre”, that incorporated both Mandarin and demotic locutions.”

Couldn’t have put it better meself, Will old son.
